Like Celesco’s other transducers, the PT5A installs in minutes, functions properly without perfectly parallel alignment, and fits easily into small areas. It offers additional installation flexibility since its cable exit can be rotated relative to the mounting surface.

A precision plastic-hybrid potentiometer provides accurate position feedback while a self-generating DC tachometer provides a velocity signal that is proportional to the speed of the traveling measuring cable. The PT5AV installs in minutes, functions properly without perfectly parallel alignment, and fits easily into small areas. It also has an optional unique thermoplastic measuring cable.

The PT5CN cable extension position transducer communicates linear position via the CANbus SAE J1939 interface providing a precision position feedback to your PLC. The PT5DN is offered in full stroke ranges up to 250 inches and a thermoplastic measuring cable for high cycle and rugged applications. Because the PT5CN uses a potentiometer as it’s sensing element, the position signal is “absolute” and does not have to be reset to a “home” position upon startup.

Analog Cable-Extension Position Transducer (PT5232) Short description:

The PT5232, delivers position feedback via RS232 serial communication to your data acquisition or controller system. The PT5232 sends a raw 16-bit position count from 0000 to FFFF (hex). Additionally this device can be set to continuously send data or send data only when polled. As the internal position sensing element is a precision potentiometer, this transducer maintains current accurate position even during power loss and does not need to be reset to a “home” position.
