The Motrona range of touchMATRIX® displays can be equipped with different options. The new IO option offers the connection to the IO-Link world.

Process indicators with IO-Link is Industry 4.0 compatible. It allows for the digitization of conventional analog sensors. This results in a variety of innovative features for standard sensors such as the transmission of status information, the configuration of the devices during operation or the digital evaluation and scaling of analog sensors.

Short description on AX350/IO:

The AX350/IO indicator with IO-Link for displaying data of two processes. It has a resistive touch panel and multi-colour graphic display , red, green and yellow for the visualization of plain text, symbols and units. Arbitrarily combinable, modular configuration with analog output, switching outputs, relay, serial interface (Modbus) and 115 ... 230 VAC.

Option IO (= IO-Link Device)

Data transfer via COM3 (230,4 kBaud)
Cycle times < 3 msec

Process data IN 32 Byte (6 x process values from AX350):

  • Analog value 1 (scaled / linearized) and unit
  • Analog value 2 (scaled / linearized) and unit
  • Analog value 1 (scaled / linearized) with totalisation and unit
  • Analog value 2 (scaled / linearized) with totalisation and unit
  • Shortcut analog value 1 (scaled / linearized) with analog value 2 (scaled / linearized) and unit
  • Shortcut totalisator analog value 1 (scaled / linearized) with totalisator analog value 2 (scaled / linearized) and unit

Process data Out 8 Byte (2 x IO-Link process values to AX350):

  • IOL process value Out 1 with scaling, adjustable decimal point and programmable units
  • IOL process values Out 2 with scaling, adjustable decimal point and programmable units
