Speed Monitors

The DZ series Speed Monitors are designed to be installed in electrical control panels. These Speed Monitors are used to monitor overspeed, underspeed, direction of rotation or standstill of machines in industrial applications. Special models of the speed monitors, which have an analog output, can also be used for control tasks.

The high frequency range, fast response, ease of speed adjustability and direction and standstill parameters depending on the input signals that are used are main features of the Speed Monitors.

Speed Monitor with Analog Output DZ266

Speed Monitor DZ266

Speed Monitor with Analog Output DZ266

Short description on DZ266:

The DZ266 is a speed monitor to be installed in electrical control panels. It is used for the reliable monitoring of machines with overspeed, underspeed (with switchable start-up bridging), direction of rotation or standstill. The pulse input is designed for incremental encoders, sensors and measuring systems with HTL or RS422 / TTL output signals. The high frequency range, fast response and the versatility regarding the possible monitoring functions are the key features of the DZ266 Speed Monitor.
Optionally for programming The DZ266 Speed Monitor can also be used as a door mounted-panel keyboard or a PC with motrona user interface, connected to the standard RS232 interface.

The compact housing has a snap mechanism with which the device can be mounted on a DIN rail in a turn-by-turn manner.

The DZ266 Speed Monitor is equipped with a 14 bit analog output which can assume additional control and regulation tasks.

  • Pulse input with format A, B, 90° [HTL] or A, /A, B, /B [RS422],also possible for single channel
  • Input frequency up to 1 MHz
  • 14 bit analog output for ±10 V or 0/4 ... 20 mA
  • Power supply 17 ... 30 VDC
  • Auxiliary voltage output +5 V for the supply of TTL encoders
  • Snap-on housing for top hat rail (according to EN 60715)
  • LCD display, backlighted
  • Setup via keys or via PC by serial RS232 interface

Speed Monitor with 3 Output Relays DZ267

Speed Monitor DZ267

Speed Monitor with 3 Output Relays DZ267

Short description on DZ267:

The DZ267 Speed Monitor is designed for incremental HTL and RS422 / TTL encoders and sensors. The DZ267 Speed Monitor is identical to the DZ260 version with all functions as well as its design, but without analogue output. The DZ267 Speed Monitor is a cost-effective alternative, used as a fast response and precise monitoring module. A large number of programmable functions for monitoring overspeed, underspeed (start-up bridging), standstill as well as clockwise and counter-clockwise enable flexible use on a wide range of industrial machines and systems. The parameters can be set via the keyboard or the RS232 interface which is connected to a PC or notebook. It includes free operating software.

The switching functions of the DZ267 are via 3 potential-free changeover contact output relays.

  • Pulse input with format A, B, 90° [HTL] or A, /A, B, /B [RS422], also possible for single channel
  • Input frequency up to 1 MHz
  • 3 output relays
  • Power supply 17 ... 30 VDC
  • Auxiliary voltage output +5 V for the supply of TTL encoders
  • Snap-on housing for top hat rail (according to EN 60715)
  • LCD display, backlighted
